St. Joseph’s Hospital – Spindle Ward

Custy Construction Ltd completed an entire ward refurbishment and office fit-out to the existing spindle ward. This work was completed in 2021 for the HSE. The entire ward was handed over to Custy Construction Ltd for the duration of the works. This work took place during the COVID-19 Pandemic and all staff were in the correct PPE for the entirety of the job.

The scope of works included:

  • Demolition works to alter existing office spaces,
  • Removal and disposal of all existing floor finishes, internal doors, sanitary fittings etc,
  • Installation of new electrical fittings and fixtures connected to existing supply,
  • Installation of new mechanical fittings and fixtures including installation of new sanitary ware,
  • Supply and installation of new internal wall completions; including doors, architrave, skirting etc,
  • Supply and installation of new floor finishes throughout entire ward,
  • Painting to all internal walls, ceilings, woodwork,
  • Construction of Part M compliant ramps, handrails, fencing, drainage and all associated site works.
